Hi there,
In June 2020, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the annual LGBTQ+ traditional Pride Month, which commemorates the 1969 Stonewall uprising sparking the gay rights movement.
This year's pride celebration might be a little different because of COVID-19, but there are still many ways to take a moment to recognize our progress since 1969 and the work that must continue.
"Somebody, your father or mine, should have told us that not many people have ever died of love. But multitudes have perished, and are perishing every hour--and in the oddest places!--for the lack of it." -- James Baldwin |
