This year's NSS featured nine informative one-hour seminars on topics that included color and design trends, social media and marketing, in-store displays; store expansions, millennial gift shoppers, the future of retail and more; as well as 10 30-minute workshops, with content focused on Business Nuts & Bolts, The Art of Writing, Trends from the Show Floor, plus a special presentation on gratitude by John Israel, aka "Mr. Thank You." |

What was the highlight for your company at NSS 2018?"We enjoyed the way many people and buyers perceived our products as unique and different. We received great feedback and interest from many big retailers that loved our newly launched wholesale collection. We both have a design background; but aside from pursuing beauty and function, we strive to incorporate a differentiating factor into all of our creations. We are very happy to share that our goal was achieved – and in what better place than at the mecca of the stationery world: The National Stationery Show."

NSS Best New Product Award Winners NamedA panel of industry judges selected the Best New Products of the National Stationery Show from among nearly 350 entries by 200 exhibitors, which were showcased in a display near the Show floor. Inklings Paperie received the Best of Show and Craft It Up/DIY category awards for its "Make Your Own Scratch-Off Mini Notes" – a way for people to encourage their friends with a surprise scratch-off card. Winners in all six categories can be viewed at the NSS website. GCA Announces LOUIE Award WinnersThe Greeting Card Association's 29th Annual LOUIE Awards party was held on May 20 during the NSS at SPiN, a ping-pong lounge in NYC. The bash – this year themed, "Raw Meets Refined" – featured street-style food and drinks, street performers, a DJ, ping pong and the announcement of this year's LOUIE winners. An exhibit of the finalists and winners, designed by Universal Presentation Concepts, was on display at the Javits Center throughout the NSS. To view all of this year's LOUIE finalists, click here. Gift for Life/NSS Team Raises Nearly $30,000 for AIDS Walk New YorkThe National Stationery Show teamed up with Gift for Life – the industry's charitable organization – for the seventh year in a row to sponsor a team to walk in AIDS Walk New York on May 20. The event took place at Central Park, with a group of "virtual walkers" at the Javits Center at the NSS. This year, the GFL/NSS team has nearly reached its goal of $30,000, which includes a generous matching grant of $5,000 from DIFFA, the Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids. AIDS Walk benefits GMHC to help fight AIDS and find a cure. Donations are still being accepted through June 27, so please help the GFL/NSS team surpass its goal by clicking here.
